Celebrate Northern Michigan’s Summer Festivals

Northern Michigan is known for a wide variety of fairs and festivals celebrating our beautiful summer.  The House on the Hill B & B is center to some of the best festivals offered.  Why not plan your next vacation around one of these exciting festivals?

 

Starting off the summer from June 23 – 24, 2018 is The Charlevoix Summer Art Show, features a mix of fine art and fine crafts displayed in downtown Charlevoix. Welcome the arrival of summer in northern Michigan at the Charlevoix Summer Art Show, where works of art and scenic views are just a step away!

 

The following week from June 27 – July 1, 2018 is The East Jordan Freedom Festival. Freedom, family and friendship are celebrated during this hometown six-day event. The festival features food, fun, music and games for all ages followed by a spectacular firework display on Saturday evening.

 

 If food is more your interest, then The National Cherry Festival in Traverse City is a must. Held June 30 – July 2, 2018, celebrate cherries, parades, air show, concerts and race series, or stroll the arts and crafts fair, or indulge in pancakes and other foods brimming with Traverse City’s iconic fruit.

 The following week is Charlevoix’s Annual Art & Craft Show from July 14 – 15, 2018 – Combine one of the most picturesque settings in the state with a spectacular representation of craftsmanship and artwork, and the result is Charlevoix’s Annual Art & Craft Show.  This popular event will take place downtown Charlevoix in East Park.

 July 21 – 28, 2018 brings The Charlevoix Venetian Festival. The Charlevoix Venetian Festival begins with AquaPalooza on the July 21st and ends with two nights of world class fireworks July 27th and 28th.  Included in this year’s event will be a free concert by The Swon Brothers.

 On August 11, 2018 many of the nation’s finest artists and craftsmen will be coming to the Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair to exhibit their best works. The Fair is always held the second Saturday in August and draws over 25,000 art lovers to Northern Michigan.

 Concluding the summer will be The Paddle Antrim Festival from September 13 – 15, 2018.  This festival celebrates the amazing waterways and communities of Northern Michigan.  The Festival includes a two-day paddle event through the Chain of Lakes Water Trail in Antrim County.

 

 What better way to celebrate Michigan and the wide variety of festivals than a night of relaxation and peace at The House on the Hill.  The following morning enjoy a Three-Course Gourmet Breakfast on our spacious porch.
